Note: I am reviewing this book as part of O’Reilly Blogger Review Program

Present Yourself

Kit and Andrea’s book “Present Yourself” is a great guide on using SlideShare for visual communication, public speaking, web marketing and analytics. It offers practical and useful tips/recipes on using SlideShare to build a strong visual communication strategy as an individual or a company.

Book explains current trends in visual communications with brief introduction to some the key concepts like Public speaking, Visual Thinking, Storytelling.

It also provides a comprehensive overview of SlideShare features and walk-throughs. I have been using SlideShare for last couple of years, but some of these were surprise to me.

Book is easy to read and provides some practical tips that you can start using immediately with your SlideShare account. Examples and instructions are clear, well designed, and complete.

Book also provides some interesting case studies that provide an insight on how individuals and companies are using SlideShare and related resources on presenting, marketing, research and collaboration.

There are some useful tips on using SlideShare with other social media tools like LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest etc. to create an online communication showcase.

I found chapter summaries quite useful and provide some practical tips. In all it was great read! I highly recommend this book if you’re interested using SlideShare as your online showcase.
